In cases where a car has been well cared for over the years, the interior can still be in good serviceable condition with just minor wear and tear. It's not unusual for piping to tear away from the cover, or for stitching to give in, or for springs to dislocate or break. Often the covers can be in perfect condition, but the coconut fibre pad inside has disintegrated.

You might find carpet that is in pretty good, clean condition throughout, but has worn at the sill from constant scuffing. In many of these situations, a repair rather than replacement might be a better solution. If maintaining originality is important, a simple repair or restoration could save you plenty and do the car a favour. Speak to us if you have a small issue with your interior that's bugging you.

You might be surprised how easily and cheaply it can be fixed.
